Deeper Life Charities was established in 1997 as an umbrella organization designed to support the Deeper Life Bible Churches in their neighborhood outreach programs. The purpose of Deeper Life Charities is to provide relief to the needy, poor and distressed members of the community by offering hot meals, dry food and produce; to promote economic self-sufficiency by offering financial literacy workshops, English as a second language (ESL) training programs, general equivalency diploma (GED), job preparation and placement services; computer training; to advance health initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyle and eating habits; and to provide access to services that support personal growth and development of the disadvantaged to be self reliant and productive citizens of the community.

The organization currently serves low-income households and communities by providing emergency food and clothing relief, and caring for the needs of children through our Angel Tree program.

In planning for organized ministries of compassion (also referred to as faith-based non-profit organizations), Deeper life Charities will create opportunity for congregations of Deeper Life Bible churches to revitalize their vision, energize their commitment to be faithful to biblical mandate, renew the historical alignment to social concern, and to be a conduit for involvement in holistic ministry. Further, DLC will outline the steps that should be taken to organize members of church and community to effectively serve the economically disadvantaged.

In the not-too-distant past, non-profit organizations were looked upon as marginal to an American society dominated by government and big business respectively. Today, we know better. These organizations are central to American society. Also, the non-profit sector in the developing world is still underdeveloped and the presence of Deeper Life Charities in Africa and other areas of the developing world can contribute to the development of our people.
